Morgan and Brayden were our first wedding to take place during the COVID-19 Pandemic. I would say this couple was determined to not let the current state of the world come between them, their family and their Cabo Destination Wedding. With all the new protocols in practice and all the vendors masked up - they were able to pull of one heck of a wedding. Despite all that they went through to get to Cabo and their wedding, it went off without a hitch and seemed like the world was back to normal.
Some words from our beautiful Bride Morgan about her big day….
What was your most anticipated part of the day?: Walking down the aisle and seeing Brayden for the first time. I always knew I wanted us to have that moment with each other.
Did anything unexpected happen? What was the outcome?: When your planning a wedding during COVID, you learn quickly to always expect the unexpected. Luckily, most of the unexpected happened prior to the big day. Once our wedding day finally rolled around, the little things didn’t seem to matter as much, we were just thankful to have made it there.
If you could change something what would it have been?: Absolutely nothing.
What ended up being your favorite part of the day?: The private last dance we shared together. We were able to really soak in everything together.
What advice would you give to future couples for their wedding?: Don’t stress the little things. Figure out what is truly important to the two of you, and focus on that.
What was your wedding inspiration?: I had attended a destination wedding a couple years prior. That gave me most of my inspiration. Aside from that, the scenery of getting married in Cabo was inspiration enough.
What song did you walk down the aisle to? What made you choose it?: Falling Like The Stars. This song is originally by James Arthur which has always been a favorite of ours. So I went with a softer cover of the song by Amber Leigh Irish. Brayden didn’t know which song I chose, and was pleasantly surprised once it started playing.
What song played for your first dance? What made you choose it?: Best Part Of Me by Ed Sheehan (feat. YEBBA). Another favorite of ours. Perfectly describes our relationship and how we both feel we are the best parts of each other. The first time we heard it a year ago, we knew it would be our first dance.
How do you feel looking back on it all now?: We had to face a lot of road blocks and a lot of tough decisions prior to our wedding. It turned out incredible and we had amazing people there to celebrate with us for an entire weekend which made all of the stress worth it.
Did you go on a honeymoon? If so where?: Yes! We went to Secrets in Puerto Los Cabos.
What photos ended up being your favorite?: The photos of just Brayden and I after the ceremony stand out, but also the ones of us dancing during our private last dance. But we also love all the photos of our guests having a great time.
